New for 2012, First Data's Excutive Committee has approved an additional 40 scholarship opportunities bringing the total applications available to 120!
Whether you are in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America or North America, First Data strongly supports the pursuit of educational opportunities for our employees and their dependents. The First Data Global Scholarship Program is available to help children across the globe pursue their higher educational goals. And new for 2012, an additional 40 scholarships will be awarded.
First Data's global scholarship program is available to any child (under age 24) of any active First Data employee that has at least 6 months of service. Students must be soon-to-be high school graduates or full-time undergraduate college students currently enrolled in an accredited two or four-year college or university. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $3,000 and are based on academic record, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, educational and career goals, and an outside appraisal. Applications are available Dec 1 - Feb 1, with scholarships announced in April.
First Data has been making a positive and meaningful impact in the pursuit of higher learning since 1994. We are proud to have awarded nearly 830 scholarships totaling more than $1.5 million. First Data encourages educational development and by significantly increasing our financial assistance to selected students, we hope it makes a difference in their academic and professional endeavors.
